By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Town of Medway will hold a Special Town Meeting tonight, when residents will decide the fate of four articles, all receiving the recommendation approval from the Board of Selectmen. The Finance Committee will meet before the Special Town Meeting tonight, to make it's recommendations. Among the articles will be a vote to appropriate $600,000 for an Urban Renewal Plan Implementation to be expended by the Medway Redevelopment Authority the specifics of the plan shall be determined by Selectmen. Medway residents will also vote to appropriate $150,000 from the Community Preservation Act General Unreserved Funds for the restoration and rehabilitation, as the town completes playground improvements at the McGovern and Burke-Memorial Elementary Schools. A second article would reallocate $300,000, money not used when improvements were made recently at several town parks. Thus repurposing the Parks Improvement Project funds to the Elementary Playgrounds. Tonight’s Special Town Meeting will begin at 7pm, in the Medway High School auditorium.
