MILFORD - Milford officials have three more weeks to respond to a lawsuit from a man who spent 35 years in prison after being wrongfully convicted for a murder. Gary Ciffizari filed suit against the Town, Milford Police and several retired officers following his exoneration for the murder of his Aunt Concetta Schiappa in 1979. He was sent to prison in 1984 and got out in 2019. With the help of the New England Innocence Project, DNA was tested which cleared Cifizzari and matched another suspect at the time named Michael Giroux.
