Town Hall Notes for March 2nd
  

Hopedale Selectmen tonight will open a special town meeting warrant.  The session will be held on March 31st.

Bellingham Selectmen meet tonight to make an appointment to the High School Principal Search Committee.  Resumes are being sought and an appointment will be made by the end of April.

Northbridge Selectmen tonight will discuss annual town meeting warrant articles, a flood study and veteran's services.

Mendon Selectmen meet in executive session tonight to conduct negotiations with the police, fire, town hall and town hall employee unions for new contracts.  Benefits and pay increase will be reviewed.

Medway Selectmen meet this evening to discuss a local meals tax that will be on the annual town meeting warrant.  It could generate approximately $150 thousand a year.  Members will review a capital project list and budget recommendations and review bids for new doors and windows at the McGovern School.

The Upton Library Trustees meet tonight with the Council on Aging to discuss a joint construction program and vote on the accepting the recommendation of the Library Feasibility Committee on an owners project manager for the construction of a new building.  Members will discuss the needs assessment progress and site evaluations.

The Franklin School Budget Sub-Committee meets tonight to continue work on the new spending package.

A hearing will be held tonight by the Medway Community Preservation Committee to discuss proposal for using the funds for the acquisition, creation and preservation of open space, preservation of historic resources, community housing, recreation and other related projects.  Ideas from residents will be welcome.
