Milford School Committee members discussed the feasibility of busing walkers, mainly for safety reasons. The cost to bus walkers and other factors may make it prohibitive. Currently 2,2000 students are bused to class. A new contract was signed last week for transportation at a cost of $4.1 million for the next three years, or $352 a day per bus.
The Upton Planning Board tonight will discuss the Village Center bylaw and review a proposed map. Members will discuss affordable housing with Selectmen Chairman Ken Picard and sidewalks in the Cross Winds division.
The Franklin School Committee tonight will get updates on the high school program of studies, a proposal for new sports teams and the hiring of a football coach. The High School Substance Abuse Task Force will be reviewed with the current budget.
The Milford Personnel Board meets tonight with consultant Don Jacobs to continue their work on the classification and compensation study that could be presented to the annual town meeting.

The Medway Planning and Economic Development Board tonight continues discussion and review of the Willows Adult Retirement Community on Village Street consisting of 171 units of varying types. In other business, zoning bylaw amendments for the May town meeting will be reviewed.
