By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Milford Special Town Meeting warrant reveals 42 articles, Town Meeting members will be voting on later this month. Among the articles is a petition regarding the upcoming appointment of a Police Chief for the town of Milford, if passed it would instruct the Board of Selectmen, to appoint and fill the position from a list of finalists, as recommended by the Police Chief Selection Review Committee which is currently in the search process, of finding candidates to fill the job on a full time basis. If approved, Article 15 would become effective, immediately. Article 10 deals with another personnel issue and to avoid a past issue with the make up of the Personnel Board requiring members be a legal resident of the town and a member would be removed from the Board, should the member's primary residence no longer be the Town of Milford. There’s also articles asking members, how to pay for items required for evaluation, design, repair and the construct of any portion of Godfrey Brook and to determine an amount of money to deposit into the Special Injury Leave Indemnity Funds to pay expenses resulting from injuries to police officers and fire firefighters. The Special Town Meeting will be held Monday Night October 28th at Milford Town Hall.
