By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Town of Medway is asking residents to review the town’s Snow and Ice Policy following this past weekend's two snowstorms, the second of which that dumped more than a foot of snow in most communities. The Snow and Ice Policy gives an overview of the responsibility of the Department of Public Services (DPS) and the help that’s needed from Medway residents, before during and after big storms, to help provide safe streets and sidewalks. The 19 page report goes over (DPS) operational facts, the snow response plan, completion time and priorities, when it comes to plowing. The Snow and Ice Policy reminds residents how they can help from clearing fire hydrants, sidewalks in front of your home and catch basins to of course obeying parking bans, don’t stand near a plow's path as it comes by and don’t throw or plow snow into the street. The Medway Snow and Ice Policy which was put together earlier this year in January is available for easy review, right now you can find it on the homepage of the town's website.
