Water Company and Town Of Milford Still Split On Cost Of Sale

By MyFM's Rick Michaels - The Department of Public Utilities will continue an evidentiary hearing this morning, on the petition from the Town of Milford to determine the amount of compensation to be paid, for the purchase of the Milford Water Company. The D-P-U last week granted a motion by the town, which requested a protective order, prohibiting the public disclosure of certain confidential, competitively sensitive and proprietary information. The D–P-U agreed with and then approved the motion filed by the town of Milford's attorneys, seeking protection treatment of confidential information. The Milford Water Company requested the evidentiary hearing, which began on Tuesday and will continue this morning and through next week if necessary, with again the goal of determining the amount of compensation to be paid for the purchase of the corporate property and all rights and privileges of the Milford Water Company.
