WESTBOROUGH - A former Westborough-based nurse has been sentenced to four years in prison for tampering with a dementia patient’s morphine supply. Prosecutors say in March 2021 when Gwen Rider of Northborough was an RN at Beaumont Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Center, she removed some of a patient’s morphine supply and replaced it with water. She pleaded guilty to one count of tampering with a consumer product and one count of obtaining a controlled substance by fraud and deception.
