The State Primary is Tuesday September 1st
The Presidential Election is Tuesday November 3rd
The Deadline to Register to Vote for the Sept. 1st Primary is Saturday, August 22nd by 8:00 pm.
The Deadline to Register to Vote for the Nov. 3rd Presidential Election is Saturday, October 24th by 8:00 pm.

You can return your Voter Registration before the deadline to our office by:
1.Mailing it to the Town Clerk’s Office, 52 Main St. Room 12, Milford, MA 01757
3.Using the Drop Off Box at the top of the stairs at Town Hall on the North Bow St. side of the building
All registered voters can now Vote Early by mail for the remaining (2) elections this year. The Secretary of the Commonwealth will be mailing applications to all voters who have registered to vote by July 1st.

If applying for an Early Ballot by Mail for the Sept. 1st PRIMARY, please remember to indicate your BALLOT CHOICE if you are an “Unenrolled”/ “Independent” voter, for we cannot mail you a ballot without your choice indicated on the form.
While we all adhere to social distancing and safety precautions related to COVID-19, we strongly encourage all registered voters to take advantage of the opportunity of Early Voting by Mail.
Please note that if you are an “Inactive” voter, you will need to complete additional paperwork before applying for or receiving an Early Voting ballot. If you are “Inactive, this means we do not have a current Annual Census on file for you and you need to complete an Affidavit of Continuous Residence and show a Valid Photo ID. If you are unsure of your voting status, you can verify it with this link: https://www.sec.state.ma.us/ele/eleidx.htm.
A ballot will be mailed to you as soon as we received your signed application (this can be a handwritten signature, or one created by using a mouse, stylus, or finger. We cannot accept a typed signature).
The deadlines to apply to vote Early by Mail are:
5:00 pm on Wednesday August 26th for the Sept 1st Primary &
5:00 pm on Wednesday, Oct. 28th for the Nov. 3rd Presidential Election
The Deadline to Request a ballot in person at the Town Clerk’s Office is NOON the day before either election.
Please be aware that if you wait until the deadline to apply there will not be sufficient time to mail you a ballot.
Early Voting In Person:
Will be held at the Milford Town Hall, 52 Main Street on the following dates and times.
For the Sept. Primary, Early Voting will start on 8/22/20-8/28/20 and be held Monday through Friday between 8:30 am-5:00pm, Saturday (8/22) 9:00 am-1:00pm and Sunday (8/23) 9:00 am -1:00 pm.
For the Nov. Presidential Election, Early Voting will start on 10/17-10/30 and be held Monday through Friday between 8:30 am-5:00pm, Saturday (10/17 & 10/24) 9:00 am- 1:00pm and Sunday (10/18 & 10/25) 9:00 am -1:00 pm.
Returning your marked ballot:
All absentee ballots need to be returned to the Town Clerk’s Office before 8:00 pm on both Election days to be counted.
You can return your ballots by mail before the elections, in person or by using the Drop off box at Town Hall.
Do not return your ballot to the polling location on Election Day.
Early Voting Ballots postmarked by Nov, 3rd and received no later than 5:00 pm on November 6th will be counted. This is not the case for the Primary. This does not apply for Absentee Ballots.
All Primary ballots need to be returned before 8:00 pm on Sept. 1st to be counted. Anything returned after that date and time will not be counted regardless of postmark.

Please view them before voting. Please use a black pen or black felt tip pen to mark your ballot. Please do not use red ink on your ballot. Please read the instructions before voting and do not use “X” marks, check marks or cross outs on your ballot.
Voting in Person on Election Day:
Please know that any registered voter can still choose to vote in person at their polling location on either of the election days if they wish to do so. We just ask voters to remain mindful of social distancing.
2020 Dog Licensing:
Please remember to license your dogs for 2020. You can also take part in our TOP DOG contest if you submit a photo of your dog (email a picture to MLaughlin@townofmilford.com).

Due to COVID-19 we are waiving any late fees that normally occur after June 30, 2020 for the 2020 licensing period.
